Hawke’s Bay School Ball Season

I had the pleasure of working with a gorgeous school girl Elise Trow and finding the perfect outfit to wear to a school ball. The season is well upon us and the girls seem to be very organised. The dress trend this year is long and elegant – out with the short, in with the long! Think red carpet glamour with an Indie twist.

Photos taken at Hawke’s Bay Vineyard – Church Road Winery

I chose a 60′s look for Elise’s makeup which brought out her amazing eyes and we left her hair with long brushed out curls and plaits.

Penny and her bridesmaids looked amazing in their Wedding Attire. It was a gorgeous Hawke’s Bay Wedding.
All the girls were wearing Dior Foundation that gave the skin a dewy finish.

Channel blush that warmed the checks to create a youthful fresh look and long wearing eyeshadow and liner by Dior.Coated lashes with ample amounts of the YSL mascara.

Lips were the colour of a soft rose and a hint of Bobbi Brown gloss was added to give the illusion of a more plumper defined lip.

Hair was by Pure hair.

Put Your Best Foot Forward

The biggest problem often seen in feet is dehydration.  As we age, our skin thins out, we loose subcutaneous fat and our feet become as dry as a desert. It is a side effect of the body’s circulation directing the blood flow to the female organs for protection. Your feet are at the end of the road and the rest is down to us neglecting them!

It is important to moisturise your feet every night, but what is more important is not to wear closed in shoes without any socks or tights. By doing this, the moisture in your feet drains into your shoes whilst also making them a tad stinky too!  Open shoes, sandals and bare feet are fine as your feet are able to breathe. Read more →
